The focus of this program is very much on “how to” participate in routine hospitality activities, follow workplace safety procedures, and provide helpful customer assistance under supervision.
Our structured 12-month program reflects the role of individuals who participate in a range of routine and predictable hospitality work activities. They work under close supervision and are given clear directions to complete tasks. This qualification provides a pathway to work in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops. It is an ideal starting point for those new to the workforce or those looking to re-engage with learning through practical, hands-on experience.
The Program is delivered over 12 months using our blended model of delivery which uses a combination of face-to-face and/or virtual workshops and self-paced learning. The Program includes 10 days face-face (6 Units), delivered one day each month over 10 months. Each session is followed by self-directed learning that includes readings, negotiated workplace activities, work-related projects and simulations/scenarios. Learners have up to 12 months to complete their Program.
