BSI Learning has been working with Challenge since 2017, providing training and employment opportunities for people with a disability. Challenge aims to have all of their staff completing a certificate in Process Manufacturing as this has helped them move supported staff from packaging processes to other areas of the business.
The students who graduated this year were very excited to learn new things within their industry and also had the learning and language support from Joshua Stregas each week (pictured far right in red top). Joshua also studies Occupational Therapy at University and has helped Challenge with changes to ergonomics in the workplace. Some staff transition into more people roles such as team leaders giving them an opportunity to manage people as part of their career pathway within the organisation.
Our trainer Sharon Stregas who facilitated the program, said these students did a fantastic job in completing a qualification in process manufacturing after 45 weeks of blended learning and on the job training.
